Art

Make no mistake, the Celts were viewed as a savage, hostile group of farmers and warriors to a lot of people outside of their circle, but their culture was still rich in artistic expression. Most archeologists and Art Historians who speak of Celtic Artwork typically speak of the type of art that was designed and adopted in an era known as the "La Tene Period and is usually called "insular art" in a historical context. Celtic artwork generally was pretty simple in appearance, but complex in design, and was heavily influenced by neighboring cultures before ultimately becoming absorbed into the Celtic culture itself.
